The devs have said that the single player version's story will have three acts. My Time at Sandrock - Just like My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock takes. On the plus side that meant that the Early Access version people got to see was a lot better than it would have been otherwise since a lot of stuff got changed during that time. Early Access should have been in Spring 2021 but that plan crashed because of covid + China not authorizing the release of any video games for 9 months flat.
